Why Strategic Planning?

Without strategic planning, organizations spend most of their time reacting to unexpected changes instead of proactively preparing for them. Causing organizations to spend time and energy “playing catch up” due to unexpected problems this is known as fire fighting. Without the proper planning, they wind up coping with immediate problems with little energy left to anticipate and prepare for the next challenges.

Strategic planning forces an organization to look in the future provides awareness of the organizations issues, needs, and environment. Strategic planning helps define the vision, mission, objectives, values, strategies, goals, and programs.
